After abandoning his training as a Jedi, Kylo Ren constructed this weapon using a cracked Kyber crystal, which causes the blade's fiery instability. The crossguard vents were added to manage the excess heat and energy, giving the lightsaber its distinctive and aggressive appearance. The blood-red colour reflects Kylo Ren's deep connection to the dark side and his relentless pursuit of power.
